The RingCentral Softphone is a free downloadable software application, which can be used to make and receive calls, send faxes and even retrieve voice and fax messages. The Softphone is compatible with Microsoft XP, Vista, Windows 7, and Mac and can be downloaded on multiple computers for free.
NOTE: In order for the RingCentral Softphone to work properly, your computer has to meet at least the minimum requirements. For more information, click here. A Digital Line is required to enable the Softphone's Dialing mode. To learn how to set up RingOut on the Softphone without a Digital Line, click here.
You can download or update the Softphone through your RingCentral online account.
Log in to your RingCentral online account. For instructions, click here.
Click Tools > Softphone.
Step 3: Click PC version and select the appropriate version.

Click Run to begin installation.
NOTE: If you have problems choosing the Run option, you could save the file to a new location and try running the installer once the file has been downloaded.
Click Next to start the installation process.
Review the RingCentral End User License Agreement. Click the I accept the terms in the license agreement radio button then click Next.
NOTE: The installation of the Softphone includes installing Add-Ins to Microsoft Office Applications. If you have any Microsoft Applications open, you will be prompted to close them before the installation can continue.
Click Next > Install.

Once the setup is complete, click Finish. NOTE:
