SummaryAdding Phone Numbers to your RingCentral account can be done by an Account Administrator. These numbers can be assigned to your User's extension, or Auto-Receptionist. Follow the steps below on how to add a Toll-Free number.

RingCentral Phone Numbers - Add a Toll-Free number

1. On your RingCentral account, go to Phone System > Phone Numbers, and under the Company tab, click Add Number.

2. On the Select Numbers step, click Toll-Free.

3. Select the Toll-Free prefix that you wish to add to your service. Select from the Available Numbers before clicking Add Numbers, and then click Next. You may select multiple numbers.

NOTE: If you want to change or deleted a selected number, hover on the number and click X.

4. Under Assign to Ext., assign selected number to either the Auto-Receptionist or to an Extension. If you're done making changes, click Next.


Auto-Receptionist 

When you choose Auto-Receptionist, the number that you will add will become an Additional Company Number, and the calls will be connected to your company's Auto-Receptionist.

Extension

When you choose Extension, the number that you will add will become your User's Direct Number, and the calls will follow that User's Greeting, Screening, and Hold Music and Call Handling & Forwarding settings.

5. On the Confirm Order step, review your transaction's ChargesAdjustments, and TaxesCharges, and Fees

Tick the checkbox to acknowledge and authorize charges for the additional number, and then click Next

NOTE: RingCentral has set limits for the protection of customers from fraudulent activities or over usage. If you get a message saying that you have exceeded the maximum allowed value that can be processed on your account in a single billing cycle, please contact RingCentral Customer Service.


6. On the Order Confirmation step, you will see more details on your transaction.

Click Print to print a copy of the order confirmation or click Done to complete the Add Number process.
