Polycom VVX Firmware 5.6.0: Resolving Boot Loop
The Polycom VVX Firmware 5.6.0 update enhances the performance of your Polycom VVX phones with the RingCentral phone system. The update is automatic and there is no need to make any changes on your phones. However, there may be circumstances when the update does not push on your end and may cause your phone to keep rebooting. This happens because it cannot download the new firmware after it already cleared out the previous one.
Follow the suggestions below to resolve this issue.
1. If your network setup includes a firewall (equipment): Bypass the firewall — plug the phone directly into a port. If the issue gets fixed, it means the firewall is blocking pp.s3.ringcentral.com.
2. If this does not resolve the issue, please contact Support.
