Is the RingCentral Phone app accessible on PC or Mac for low vision or blind user?
Yes. The RingCentral Phone Desktop app for Windows PC and Mac Firewall are accessible for low vision and blind individuals who use screen reading software. The minimum version for access is RingCentral Phone 10.3.0 or later.
What are the computer requirements?
In addition to requirements for the RingCentral Phone app, the computer to be used must have a screen reading program, also commonly referred to as Text to Speech software.
On PC, Windows 10 includes Ease of Access options such as Narrator. Third party programs are also available.
For Apple Mac computers running OS X or macOS, all computers include Accessibility options, including VoiceOver. VoiceOver can be activated on any Mac computer by pressing the CMD+F5 key combination. In the case of Mac computers with TouchID, holding CMD and pressing the TouchID button three times in succession will activate Voiceover when the computer is booted.
