Transferring the call to another extension in your account

Dial double hash or pound (##) key to place the caller on hold.

• When pressing ##, you may hear “You have a call on hold, to return to the call, press #. To transfer this call to an extension, dial the Extension number. For more options, press *”.

• The call will then be blind transferred to the other extension. The caller will remain on hold until the other extension picks up or until routed to the other extension's voice mailbox.

Caller ID Behavior: Blind transfers only show the originating Caller ID.

 

Transferring the call to a different phone number

1. Dial double hash or pound (##) key to place the caller on hold.

• When you place the call on hold by pressing double hash or pound (##) key, you may hear “You have a call on hold, to return to the call, press #. To transfer this call to an extension, dial the Extension number. For more options, press *”.


2. Press the star (*) key.

• When you press the star (*)​ key, you may hear “To transfer this call, press 1. To cancel, press **”.

3. Press 1.

• When you press the number 1, you may hear “Please enter the phone number or quick dial number (Flip Number) and then press #. To cancel, press **”.

NOTE: Using the Quick Dial for transferring calls will allow you to warm transfer the call. To set up your Quick Dial Numbers (Flip Number), see Admin: Configure a User's Call Flip Settings.

4. Enter the phone number where you want to transfer the call then press the hash or pound (#) key to complete the transfer.

NOTE:  You cannot use the call transfer feature if the call was initiated from RingOut.

Caller ID Behavior: Warm transfers only show the Caller ID of the transferring party and does not include the originating Caller ID.
