Closed - Fixed Issues

• 
RingCentral Meetings Plugin for Outlook on Mac OS 10.14 is Missing
• Cannot Use Mac Outlook Plugin on Outlook version 16.20


Open - Unresolved Issues

• Unable to Schedule a Meeting on Outlook 16.24 with RingCentral Meetings Outlook Plugin
• The in-meeting page will display in English for first time RingCentral Meetings Users who use a non-English system language
• Join meeting via Android Chrome browser will have an alert notification when redirecting from RingCentral to Zoom

 

Closed - Fixed Issues

RingCentral Meetings Outlook Plugin version 7.0 supports Outlook versions prior to the 16.20 update. If Users use the later version of Mac Outlook, which is greater than 16.20, Outlook Plugin usability may be negatively impacted. Possible behaviors may happen, see list below.

RingCentral Meetings Plugin for Outlook on Mac OS 10.14 is Missing


Description

User is able to successfully create meetings from the standalone Meetings applications, but the plugin is not showing in Outlook. User have already tried logging in to RingCentral Outlook Plugin 6.1.124551.20180510. User is seeing the folder where the logs should be but there are no logs generated.
 

Environment Affected

• Mac OS version 10.14 
Mac Outlook 16.18 
 

Actual Behavior

RingCentral Meetings Outlook Plugin for Mac is missing on Mac OS 10.14.
 

Expected Behavior

Users with Mac OS 10.14 should be able to see the RingCentral Meetings Outlook Plugin.
 

Workaround

Upgrade your Mac computer to the latest OS version 10.14.1 or later.
 

Status

We have fixed this issue.

 

Cannot Use Mac Outlook Plugin on Outlook version 16.20 


Description

Cannot use Mac Outlook Plugin on Outlook version 16.20.
 

Environment Affected

• Mac computers with prior versions of RingCentral Meetings Outlook 16.20 
• Does not affect Windows 
 

Actual Behavior

Stays at "connecting" when scheduling a meeting via Meetings Outlook plugin.
 

Expected Behavior

Should be able to log in with out any issues.
 

Status

This issue has been fixed on Outlook Plugin version 7.0.

 

Open - Unresolved Issues


Unable to Schedule a Meeting on Outlook 16.24 with RingCentral Meetings Outlook Plugin


Description

User cannot schedule a Meeting on Outlook 16.24 with RingCentral Meetings Outlook Plugin.
 

Actual Behavior

Unable to schedule a meeting and shows error Please check the current timezone in outlook regional configuration.
 

Expected Behavior

Should be able to schedule a meeting with RingCentral Meetings Outlook Plugin.
 

Workaround

• For 16.23 or older: Schedule a regular meeting and send the invite to participants first, then update the meeting by adding the RingCentral  meeting info, and click Send Update to the Participants. 

• For 16.24: Uninstall RingCentral for Outlook Plugin, and then restart Outlook. Use RingCentral Meetings application only to schedule meetings via Outlook.

The in-meeting page will display in English for first time RingCentral Meetings Users who use a non-English system language 


Description

Launching RingCentral Meetings on a non-English system will display in English language. This happens on first-time install of RingCentral Meetings on a Windows computer with a non-English system language.

This will not be an issue if RingCentral Meetings is already installed previously.
 

Actual Behavior

When a first time user who has not installed RingCentral Meetings on a Windows that has a non-English system language (for example: Chinese), the In-Meeting part will display English but not Chinese. 
 

Environment Affected

Non-English Windows computer with first-time install of RingCentral Meetings version 7.0
 

Workaround

You can switch the Meetings language to another language, and then switch back. The In-Meeting part will then display the correct language. See RingCentral Meetings - Change preferred language | Windows to learn how.
 

Status

We are currently investigating potential solutions to this issue.

 

Join meeting via Android Chrome browser will have an alert notification when redirecting from RingCentral to Zoom


Description

Join meeting via Android chrome browser will have an alert notification when redirecting from RingCentral to Zoom.
 

Actual Behavior

It will have an alert notification displaying Redirect blocked when redirecting from RingCentral General Web to Zoom.

Expect Behavior

It should redirect successfully without any alert notification display.
 

Workaround

Users have to click on ALWAYS ALLOW to allow redirecting. So the alert notification will NOT display anymore.

Status

We are currently investigating potential solutions to this issue.
