RingCentral Meetings - Issues after upgrading to Mac OS 14 (Mojave)



 

On September 24, 2018, Apple is releasing an update to its Mac Operating System (OS 10.14 Mojave) that will impact some functionality of the RingCentral Meetings solution for Mac. In the meantime, remaining on a prior version of the Mac OS (10.13 High Sierra or earlier) will ensure the best user experience with RingCentral Meetings.


NOTE: If you upgrade to Mac OS 10.14 Mojave, make sure you have the latest RingCentral Meetings app installed.


You may experience the following when you upgrade to the new Mac OS: 

Warning after launching the RingCentral Meetings app 
Warning after launching the RingCentral Rooms app
Outlook plug-in stops working 
Issue when joining a RingCentral meeting from an email invite 
User Interface Issue: Join Audio by Phone Call scrolling not available (only affects RingCentral Canada brand)

Clicking on the RingCentral Meetings invite link will open Safari.

The meeting will not start on Safari 12.0 and instead, will try to download the Meetings app although already installed.
