With the RingCentral Interactive Voice Response, not only can you retrieve your messages, you can also control and change the settings of you RingCentral account and place a call (Virtual Calling Card).

RingCentral Interactive Voice Response:
 
• Press 3: Change your PIN
• Press 5: Turn Do-Not-Disturb (DND) ON/OFF
• Press 9: Log-in to another extension
• Press * (star sign): Return to Main Menu 

Other Phone Commands:
• Hold/Transfer Incoming Calls
• Quick Dial
• Call Park
• Intercom
 

Getting started: Accessing the Main Menu

To access the RingCentral Interactive Voice Response main menu:
 
Step 1:
Dial your RingCentral Main or Local Number.
 
Step 2:
Dial the extension number then press * (star sign)

NOTE: If you do not have extensions, simply press * (star sign)
 
Step 3:
Enter the extension's password then press # (pound sign)

NOTE: Once logged in, RingCentral will announce the number of messages in your extension's mailbox, then gives you the option to listen to your messages, manage your account, place a call, or change your queue status (only available when your extension is part of a call group).
 

1.Listen to Messages

Here are some of the commands when you select Listen to Messages:

NOTE: The system reads 1st message (Newest to Oldest)
 
Dial 1: Repeat the message
Dial 2: Save the message
Dial 3: Erase the message
Dial 4: Return the call
Dial 5: Forward the message to extension
Dial 6: Skip the message (Keeping it new)
Dial * (star sign): Exit message review

 

2.  Account Administration

Here are some of the commands when you select Account Administration:
 
• Dial 2: Record your Greetings >
Dial 2: Listen
Dial 3: Change >
Dial 1: Save
Dial 2: Listen
Dial 3: Change
Dial 4: Reset to Default
Dial * (star sign): Return to previous menu
Dial * (star sign): Return to previous menu

Dial 1: Save
Dial 2: Listen
Dial 3: Change
Dial 4: Reset to Default
Dial * (star sign): Return to previous menu
Dial * (star sign): Return to previous menu

• Dial 3: Change your PIN

• Dial 5: Turn Do Not Disturb (DND) ON/OFF

• Dial 9: Log-in to another extension

• Dial * (star sign): Return to Main Menu

 

3. Place a Call

Enter the phone number (Country Code + Area Code + Phone number) of the person you'd like to reach and press # (pound sign)

For International Calls: Dial 011 + Country Code + Area Code + Phone number

Press ** (star sign) at any time to cancel the current call and return to the call card menu.

NOTE: After the receiver ends the call, the caller will return to the menu to have the ability to dial another number. If receiver ignores the call, the caller will hear a busy tone until it eventually hang up.

 

4. Set your queue status

This is only applicable when your extension is part of a department within the account.

Call Park

To Park a call on a RingCentral phone, press the Call Park soft key on your feature compatible phone and listen to the message where the call has been parked.

To retrieve a parked call on a RingCentral phone, press extension number where the call was parked.
 
Example:

To Park a call on a phone that does not have the Call Park soft key, press ##*3 and then listen to the message where the call has been parked. 

To retrieve the call, press *+extension number where the call was parked.

 

Intercom

To use the Intercom feature, press the Intercom soft key on your desk phone followed by the extension you wish to be connected to.

NOTE:  The intercom feature of the extension will have to be activated on the online account for the Intercom feature to work on the desk phone.  The Intercom feature works only for RingCentral Office and RingCentral Office Unlimited service only.  For instructions on setting up the Intercom feature on your online account, see Enabling Intercom on your RingCentral Online Account.

To use the Intercom feature on a manually provisioned phone, press *85+extension number of the phone you wish to be connected to.
