The RingCentral mobile app allows you to initiate conference calls, with its ability to send email or SMS invitations directly from the mobile app. Hosts and Participants may join the conference by tapping the link on the invite. When enabled, participants may join the conference before the host logs in.

With RingCentral Conferencing for mobile, you can access the following:
 
• Conference - can be set up by tapping the conference button.
• Dial-In Number - is the number that the host and the participants dial to connect to the conference bridge. 
• Host Access - is the number that the host dials after entering the Dial-In number to be able to log into the conference.
• Participant Access - is the number that the participants dial to be able to connect to the conference. There can be up to 999 participants connected to a conference, depending on the Internet connection. 
• Join Before Host - the host can opt to allow participants to join the conference even when the host has not yet logged in. This feature can be enabled or disabled by the host. 
• Invite with Text - allows the host to send invites to participants via SMS. Participants may join the conference by tapping the link to the conference. 
• Invite with Email - allows the host to invite participants via Email. Participants may join the conference by clicking a link to the conference.
• Join as Host - allows a participant to join the conference as a host. Tapping Join as Host automatically logs you in as the host of the conference.

Inviting participants to the conference

Step 1:

Launch the RingCentral mobile app.

On the top-right, click the More icon.

On the More Screen, tap Conferencing.

Step 4:

Decide whether to allow participants to join the conference before the host does. If yes, enable Join Before Host.

Tap Invite.

Step 5:

Select if you want to Invite with Text or Invite with Email.

Step 5:

Invite with Text - Enter the participant's name then tap the Send icon to send the invitation.
Invite with Email. - Choose how you want to send the email invitation.

NOTE: You may see a different screen when you send an email invitation, depending on the version and model of your phone. 

Step 6:

Using Gmail as an example, enter the email address of the recipient then send.

Joining a RingCentral Conference

Participants can join in 3 ways:
 
• Text (regular SMS - iPhone only)
Email
Dial-in Number
RingCentral mobile app 
(RingCentral SMS feature using Tap-to-Join)
 

When invited through regular Text / SMS (iPhone only)

iPhone Users can now join a RingCentral Conference through a Text Invite, even without installing the RingCentral mobile app. Android Users can join a conference call by calling the Dial-in Number. If you are an iPhone User, continue below:
 

Step 1: 

Click on the Conference link.

Step 2: 

Participants who do not have a RingCentral account can tap Others: Join the Conference with the phone. This will allow them to join the conference by calling the Dial-in Number from their phone. 

NOTE: This will use their carrier's calling minutes.

RingCentral Users can tap RingCentral member: Join the Conference in RingCentral App to join the conference. When VoIP Calling is enabled on your RingCentral mobile app, the RingCentral mobile app will call the Dial-in number, and the Participant code will be entered automatically.

NOTE: If the Text Invite is received through the RingCentral mobile app, RingCentral Users with an Android or iPhone device can use the Tap to Join feature to join the conference call.

 

When invited through Email (iPhone only)

iPhone Users can now join a RingCentral Conference through an Email Invite, even without installing the RingCentral mobile app. Android Users can join a conference call by calling the Dial-in Number. If you are an iPhone User, continue below:

Step 1: 

Open the Email Invite for the conference, and then tap the link to join.

Step 2: 

Participants who do not have a RingCentral account can tap Others: Join the Conference with the phone. This will allow them to join the conference by calling the Dial-in Number from their phone.

RingCentral Users can tap RingCentral member: Join the Conference in RingCentral App to join the conference. When VoIP Calling is enabled on your RingCentral mobile app, the RingCentral mobile app will call the Dial-in number, and the Participant code will be entered automatically.

Dial-in Number

RingCentral Users and their clients who are non-RingCentral Users can join a RingCentral Conference call by calling the Dial-in Number specified on the invite they receive. When Participants call the Dial-in Number, they will be asked to enter the Participant Code. The Participant Code will allow Participants to join the conference. 

Participants from an International location can also join the Conference by calling an International Dial-in Number

RingCentral mobile app (Tap-to-Join feature)

If the Text Invite is received through the RingCentral mobile app, RingCentral Users with an Android or iPhone device can use the Tap to Join feature to join the conference call.

NOTE: You may Host or Tap-to-Join a conference call without the need to enter an access code when VoIP is not available through RingOut. If you use Ring-Out, you phone will call the Dial-in Number using your carrier's minutes.
