1. What is an extension?

An extension is a group or user mailbox on your RingCentral account. 

NOTE: As an example, Extension 101 for user A. Callers can then call the main number of your RingCentral account and dial extension 101 to reach user A. 

2. How do I add an extension in my RingCentral account?

You must log into your RingCentral account as an administrator to add users.  

3. Can I make outbound calls using my extension?

Yes. You can use the RingOut feature, or you can purchase a DigitalLine to provision your RingCentral desktop app or IP Phone to place an outgoing call.
