SummaryHow do I order a vanity number using the RingCentral mobile app?
A Vanity Number is a personalized phone number that also corresponds to a distinctive combination of letters on the telephone keypad, such as 1-888-MTRGAGE or 1-888-GARDENS, that is easy to remember. Administrators can add a Vanity Number through the RingCentral Online Account, or through the RingCentral mobile app.
NOTE: Vanity Numbers are subject to availability and the ordering and setup process for vanity numbers may take up to 10 business days to complete.

Step 1:

Tap Phone System.

Tap Company Numbers and Info.

Step 5:

Scroll to the bottom of the screen, then tap Add Number.

Step 6:

Select Vanity, and then search for a Toll Free Vanity Number. Enter any combination of letters, numbers or wildcards. Use * (asterisk) as a wildcard when searching for available numbers.

Step 7:

Select your preferred Vanity Number, and then tap Next User-added image.

Step 8:

You will be asked to assign where the calls will be routed when people dial your Vanity Number, after it is activated. You have 2 choices:

1. Auto-Receptionist 

When a caller dials your Vanity Number, and your Vanity Number is assigned to the Auto-Receptionist, the Company Call Handling rules and Operator Extension will be applied.

2. Extension 

When a caller dials your Vanity Number, and your Vanity Number is directly assigned to a User, that User's Call Handling and Call Forwarding rules will be applied.

Step 9:

After assigning your Vanity Number to the Auto-Receptionist or User, tap Next User-added image

Step 10:

After tapping Next, you will see a prompt that will ask you if you want to order more numbers. Tap OK if you want to add more Vanity Numbers, otherwise tap Cancel.

NOTE: The Vanity Number you chose will be added to your list of Pending Numbers. Pending Numbers are not yet active on your account, either because you are transferring them from another provider or have requested a vanity number, which can take time to activate. We work to make the process as fast as possible, but some carriers have a long turnaround times. When you tap Cancel, you will be redirected to your Company Numbers list, where you can view your Pending Numbers when you scroll down.

IMPORTANT: A one-time $30 setup fee will be applied to your account after the Vanity Number is activated on your account.

1. What are the things I need to know when I order a Vanity Number?

Vanity Numbers are activated within 5 business days upon order given that the following requirements are met:
• RingCentral was able to reserve the number for you (A number can be reserved by other carriers as well).
• Your account is in an active and paid Subscription. 
• $30 charge will be billed in your account for the Vanity Set up Fee plus taxes.

2. How do I cancel my Vanity number request?

Send an email to numberporting@ringcentral.com and indicate your Vanity Number Request and reason for cancellation.

3. Why do I need to go on a Paid Subscription before my vanity number gets charged and activated?

You will no't be able to have the ownership of the number. In order for you to own a particular number, the first thing that is being required is a paid subscription.
