The User Info section on the RingCentral mobile app lets you manage your basic settings, greetings, call screening, call handling, direct numbers, and desktop phones (if you have them), security settings, notifications, and more.

Accessing your User Info


Step 1:

Launch the RingCentral mobile app on your device.

Tap your Profile picture.

Tap User Info.

Step 5:

You will be able to see your User Info.

Accessing Another User's Info (Administrators only)


Step 1:

Launch the RingCentral mobile app on your device.

Updating User Details

Under the User Info tab, you can edit the following: 

• Extension Number - Can only be edited by an Administrator.
• First Name 
• Last Name 
Record User Name
• Contact Phone - This is visible only to RingCentral for account verification purposes.
• Mobile Phone 
• Email 
• Use Email to Log In
• Department 
• Roles
• User Groups
• Yes, I would like to receive info... (receive product information from RingCentral) 
User Hours 
User Password
Regional Settings 
• Schedule Meetings for Me
• Status

 

Record User Name


Step 1: 

Tap Record User Name

Step 2: 

You have 2 ways to add your name. The name will be used by RingCentral to play on default greetings.

Text-to-speech name
Record my name
 

Text-to-speech name

Tap Text-to-speech-name, then you can enter your Text-to-speech-name on the space provided (optional). If you leave the Text-to-speech blank, RingCentral will use the First and Last Name indicated in your User Info.

Step 1: 

Tap Record my name, and then tap the Record button.

Step 2: 

Enter a phone number where RingCentral can call you to record your custom name over the phone.

NOTE: Further instructions will be provided over the phone.

Step 3:

After saving your recording over the phone, you will have a chance to Re-record, or Play your recording.

User Hours


Step 1: 

Tap User Hours.

Step 2: 

The default setting is 24 hours, which means that your extension is available to receive a call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. To change this, tap Specify hours, and then tap on the day that you wish to set.

Step 3: 

When you click on the day, you can configure the following:

1. Enable or disable your extension to accept calls for that day by turning the switch On or Off. The Blue switch indicates that you are available to receive calls on that day. The Gray switch indicates that you are not available to receive calls on that day.

2. When you enable your extension to accept calls for that day, you can specify the hours that you are available. 

3. If your schedule is the same from Monday to Friday, you can tap Copy Settings to Weekdays to set the same settings for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. 

4. If your schedule is going to be the same for the rest of the week, you can tap Copy Settings to All Days.

Regional Settings


Step 1: 

Tap Regional Settings

Tap Regional Settings.

 

Step 2: 

Under the Regional Settings section, you can modify the following:

1. Time Zone

2. Time Format - Choose your preferred Time Format to be used to in your Call Logs. Your choices are:

     • 12h (AM/PM) - Example: 6PM
     • 24h - Example: 18:00

3. Home Country Code

4. User Language

5. Greetings Language

5. Regional Format

 

Step 3: 

In the Regional Settings screen, tap Save.

In the Regional Settings screen, tap Save.

 

Step 4: 

Back to the User Info screen, tap Save.

Back to the User Info screen, tap Save.

NOTE: The user hours and time zone that you set on your settings will sync with your assigned deskphone and RingCentral Phone. For more information, go to Polycom Phones - Set or Change Date and Time.
