Building a Favorite list gives you easier access to frequently dialed Contacts. You can easily add, remove, or manage your Contacts in Favorites. Contacts you save on your Favorites list get automatically synchronized across your RingCentral Mobile app and Desktop app.

NOTE: You can also set a Paging group as a Favorite.


This article demonstrates how you can add and/or remove Contacts from Favorites using the RingCentral Mobile app.

Adding a Contact or Paging group as a Favorite


Step 1:

Launch the RingCentral Mobile app on your iOS device.

Step 2:

Tap Contacts.

Tap Contacts.

Step 3:

Switch your current Contacts view to Favorite Contacts.

In the example below, we switched from Company Directory to Favorite Contacts view.

Switch your current Contacts view to Favorites.

Step 4:

Tap the Add button, then select a Contact or Paging group that will be added to Favorite Contacts.

In this example, we selected Debbie Smith.

Tap Add, then select a Contact or Paging group that will be added to Favorites.

 

Debbie Smith should now appear under Favorite Contacts.

Favorite contact has been added.

Repeat Step 4 if you want to add more Contacts or Paging groups to Favorite Contacts.

NOTE: This is how a Paging group contact looks like when added to Favorite Contacts.

Removing a Contact or Paging group from the Favorite Contacts list

NOTE: Deleting a Contact or Paging group from Favorite Contacts will not remove a contact from your Contacts directory. It only removes the entry from your Favorite Contacts list.

The steps below shows how you can remove a Contact or a Paging group from Favorite Contacts on your iOS device.

Step 1:

Launch the RingCentral Mobile app.

Step 2:

Switch your current Contacts view to Favorite Contacts.

In the example below, we switched from Company Directory to Favorite Contacts view.

Switch your current Contacts view to Favorites.

Step 3:

Tap the Delete icon Delete icon.

Tap the Delete icon.

Step 4:

Tap the Remove button.

In this example, we will remove the Paging group Customer Service from Favorite Contacts.

Tap Remove.

Step 5:

Tap the Delete button to confirm the deletion.

NOTE: Removing entries from the Favorite Contacts list does not remove the Contact from the Company Directory or Personal Contacts list.

Tap the Delete button to confirm the deletion.

Step 6:

Repeat Steps 4 to 5 if you want to remove more contacts from the Favorite Contacts list. Otherwise, proceed to the next step.

Step 7:

Tap Done.

Tap Done.
 

Android

The steps below demonstrates how you can remove a Contact or a Paging group from Favorite Contacts on your Android device.

Step 1:

Launch the RingCentral Mobile app.

Step 2:

Tap Contacts.

Tap Contacts.

Step 3:

Tap the middle menu on top of the screen. 

The example shows Contacts from the Company Directory. Tap Company Directory.

Tap Company Directory.

Step 4:

Tap Favorite Contacts.

Tap Favorite Contacts.

Step 5:

Tap the Select button.

Tap the Select button.

Step 6:

Select the Contact or Paging group that needs to be removed from Favorite Contacts, then tap Delete.

Select Contacts to delete, then tap Delete.

Alternative Method when Deleting a Contact or Paging group from Favorite Contacts using an Android Device

Long press on the name of the Contact or Paging group that needs to be removed from Favorite Contacts.

Tap Remove from Favorites.

In this example, we will remove the Paging group named Customer Service.
