This article will guide you on how to find your computer's name. You will need your computer's name when provisioning the desktop app and when you want to authorize or deauthorize your computer to make outgoing calls. For more information go to RingCentral Desktop App Provisioning.

Select your computer's operating system below for specific instructions.

Windows 10
Windows 7 & Windows Vista
Windows XP
Mac OS X

Windows 10

Step 1:

Click the search icon, type "Computer Name" or "PC Name". Click View your PC name.

Step 2:

The Computer name or PC name is displayed on the top part of your pc information.

Windows 7 & Windows Vista
 
Step 1:
Click on the Start User-added image button.

Step 2:
Right-click on Computer.

Step 3:
Select Properties.

At the bottom portion of the Properties window, your Computer Name will be listed under "Computer name, domain, and workgroup settings".

Windows XP
 
Step 1:
Click on the Start User-added image button.

Step 2:
Right-click on My Computer.

Step 3:
Select Properties.

Step 4:
Click on the Computer Name tab.

At the middle portion of the System Properties window, your Full computer name will be listed.

Mac OS X

Step 1:
Click on the Apple Menu.

Step 2:
Select System Preferences.

Click Sharing.
    
At the top portion of the Sharing window, your Computer Name will be listed.
