In addition to the Dialer, you can place calls from the Recent Calls list, or from your Favorites list. You can also quickly call a favorite from Home or Lines view.
This article demonstrates how you can place calls from either the Recent Calls or from the Favorites menu on your Polycom VVX Phone.

To call from the Recent Calls list:
The Recent Calls list contains calls that were recently placed, answered, or missed on your phone. You can place calls from this list.
On Polycom VVX 400 phones
Go to Directories > Recent Calls.
From the Calls List screen, select a contact, then select Dial.
On Polycom VVX 500 phones
Go to Directories > Recent.
From the Calls List screen, select a contact and select Dial.
NOTE: The call is automatically placed after you select a contact.
To call from your Favorites list:
When you add a contact as a favorite, the contact is added to your Favorites list, and you can call contacts directly from the Favorites list.
Select New Call.
Select Favorites from the Dialer.
Select a favorite, and select Dial.
NOTE: The call is automatically placed after you select a favorite on Polycom VVX 500 phones.
