Pre-Call Controls on your RingCentral mobile app allow you to choose an action for an incoming call. Click any of the links below to learn more.

Android devices

The RingCentral mobile app should be running in the background to get an incoming call notification. Incoming VoIP Calls should also be enabled under the RingCentral mobile app's VoIP Calling section to get an incoming call notification.

Once you get an incoming call on your Android device (locked or unlocked), the RingCentral mobile app will be launched automatically with the following Pre-Call Controls:

Reply with Message 

Reject the call and reply with a predefined or personal text-to-speech message.

Answer

Accept the incoming call.

To Voicemail

Reject an incoming call and allow your caller to leave a voicemail message.
 

iOS devices

Incoming VoIP Calls should be enabled under the RingCentral mobile app's VoIP Calling section to get an incoming call notification. When your iOS device is locked, and you get an incoming call on your RingCentral mobile app, you will get an Interactive Notification which will allow you to answer the call, or send your caller to your RingCentral voicemail

When you swipe to the right or choose to answer the call, the RingCentral mobile app will be launched with the following Pre-Call Controls:

To Voicemail

Reject an incoming call and allow your caller to leave a voicemail message.


When you get an incoming call while your phone is unlocked, you will get an Incoming Call Notification which prompts you to slide the notification banner to answer the call. If you choose to ignore the Incoming Call Notification, the caller will be kept waiting for an answer until the call is routed to your RingCentral voicemail.

When you tap the Incoming Call Notification to launch the app, the app will open with the following Pre-Call Controls:
