HD Voice Overview

High-Definition Voice (HD Voice) allows you to establish calls between supported RingCentral Desk Phones, RingCentral Phone and RingCentral for Mobile with high-quality voice audio. To consistently deliver the highest HD quality possible, RingCentral utilizes the well-regarded OPUS Interactive codec for audio and video, as well as the G.722 codec for audio.

HD Voice is automatically enabled and is available to the following RingCentral Service plans:

HD Voice with OPUS codec is available on the following:

**Polycom VVX 501 & VVX 601 supports OPUS if HD Voice is enabled in the Phone's settings. For steps, go to Enabling HD Voice on the Online Account

****RingCentral Phone for Mobile - OPUS Codec Support Minimum Requirements: iOS 8.0 or later; Android 4.4 or later; Dual-core 1.5GHz and higher or Quad-core any GHz. If your device does not meet the minimum requirements, your device will still have HD voice with G.722 codec.
