Using the RingCentral desktop app's Print-to-Fax Function

The RingCentral desktop app has a Print-to-Fax function that allows you to attach a file or page to a fax message directly from your browser or Office application. 

• Outlook 2010/2013 Message
• Word Document (2010/2013)
• Firefox Browser
• Google Chrome


NOTE: The document will be attached as a .TIF file on the RingCentral desktop app. The general steps below also works for most types of files.
 

Outlook 2010/2013 Message

Step 1:

Select the message that you want to send as a fax attachment.

Step 2: 

Click File

Click Print, and then under Printer, select "RingCentral Internet Fax". Click Print.

Step 4: 

Fill out the fields provided for your Fax message.

• To - Enter the fax number of the the recipient, or you can select a contact by pressing the plus User-added image icon.
• Cover Page - You can select from the list of cover page templates if you wish to have a Cover Page Note sent, along with your fax attachment. You can click the view User-added image icon to see the sample template. Select None if you do not want to include a Fax Cover Page. 
• Name - Enter the fax recipient's name.
• Company - Enter the fax recipient's company.
• Note - Enter your message in the text box provided.
• Attach User-added image - You can attach Supported Files in your fax message. 
• Scan User-added image - You can scan a document to attach it to your fax message.
• Send Later - This feature allows you to set a specific date and time the fax message will be sent.
 

Step 5:

Click Send now, or Send Later.

NOTE: If you choose to send your fax later, you can select the Date and Time when want to send your fax message, and then click Schedule Send to add the fax message to your Outbox. The fax message will be sent automatically on your specified date and time.

Word Document (2010/2013)

Step 1: 

Open the file that you wish to send as a fax attachment, and review its contents. Once the document is ready, proceed to

Step 2:  

Click File

Step 3: 

Click Print, and then under Printer, select "RingCentral Internet Fax". You may set your preferences under Settings, and when you are ready to attach the document, click Print.

Step 4: 

Fill out the fields provided for your Fax message.

Firefox Browser

Step 1:

Open the website on your browser, and then click the Menu button User-added image.

Step 2: 

Under Menu, click Print

Step 3:

You will be able to see the Print Preview​ window. Click Print.

Step 4: 

Select "RingCentral Internet Fax" on the Printer Name, and then click OK.

Step 5: 

Fill out the fields provided for your Fax message.

Google Chrome

Step 1:

Open the website on your browser, and then click on the Menu button User-added image.

Under the Chrome Menu, click Print.

Under Destination, click Change to select "RingCentral Internet Fax". Click Print.

Step 4: 

Fill out the fields provided for your Fax message.
