Details
The RingCentral for Google app allows your RingCentral services to integrate with your Google account. For Google tagged accounts welcome emails will  show the setup for the RingCentral Google Chrome Extension.

After the Account Setup a prompt on how to setup the RingCentral Google Chrome Extension will be displayed. For more information on setting up your account, see Setting Up Your RingCentral Online Account Using the Admin Express Setup.

A prompt will display on the initial login for both Administrators and Users on their RingCentral Online Accounts. This is true for the Google tagged accounts.

Installing the Google Chrome Extension

Step 1:

Pull up Google Chrome and then navigate to the Chrome Web Store.

Step 2: 

On the search box, enter Ring Central.

Locate RingCentral for Google Beta and then click +FREE.

Click the ADD button to confirm the installation.

Step 5:

Log into your Gmail account.

Step 6:

Click Login with RingCentral.

Enter your RingCentral credentials and then click Login.

Placing a Call with RingCentral for Google

Step 1:

Log into your Gmail account.

Step 2:

Click the Dialer icon.

Click the User-added image icon and then click the Contact you wish to call.

NOTE: You may also enter the number of the party you wish to call.

Step 4:

Click the Dialer arrow icon. then select the RingCentral device you wish to call from via RingOut.  Then, click Call.

NOTE: Outbound calling is only available via RingOut to a RingCentral provisioned device (either the desktop app or deskphone) available on your account. Custom numbers can not be used.

Step 5:

The RingOut screen will appear. On your RingCentral device, click Answer. You will then be connected to the number you are calling.

Sending a Text Message with RingCentral for Google

Step 1:

Log into your Gmail account.

Step 2:

Click the Business SMS icon.

Click the User-added image icon and then click the Contact you wish to message.

NOTE: You may also enter the number of the party you wish to call.

Step 4:

Type your text message and then click send.

Checking your RingCentral messages with RingCentral for Google

Step 1:

Log into your Gmail account.

Step 2:

Click the Messages icon.

Select the message you wish to retrieve.

QUICK TIP: Switch between All, Voice, Fax and Text tabs to filter messages.

NOTE: Click the User-added image button to Play a voicemail message. Click the User-added image button to View a fax message.
 

Google Calendar Integration - Join Now feature

Step 1:

Log into your Gmail account

Step 2:

Go to your calendar and create a meeting via RingCentral for Google.

Step 3:

Integrate your Google calendar to your RingCentral desktop or mobile app.  For more information go to:

Step 4:

You now have an option to Dial-in or Join the RingCentral meetings on your Google calendar via desktop app or mobile app.

Browsing through your Contacts list on RingCentral for Google

Step 1:

Log into your Gmail account.

Step 2:

On the RingCentral for Google app, click the Contacts icon to display your Contacts list.

Checking the Call Log on RingCentral for Google

Step 1:

Log into your Gmail account.

Step 2:

On the RingCentral for Google app, click the Call Log icon.

Click the Missed tab to display the list of missed calls.
 

Setting up a RingCentral Meeting with RingCentral for Google

Step 1:

Log into your Gmail account.

Step 2:

Click the Schedule RC Meeting icon.

Set the DateTime as well as the Duration of the meeting.

Step 4:

Determine whether it will be a Recurring Meeting and then select the option as needed.

NOTE: A recurring meeting occurs at the same time and day as the meeting that has been set.

Step 5:

Determine whether there would be a need for Video collaboration or just Screen Sharing and then select the appropriate option.

Step 6:

Decide whether to protect the meeting with a password and then tick the option as needed. Set the password.

NOTE: Participants to the meeting will need to enter the password to be able to join the meeting.

Step 7:

Decide whether to allow participants to join the meeting before the host and then tick the option as needed.

Step 8:

Click Invite with Google Calendar and then review the Settings.

Step 9:

Enter the Participants' email address.

Step 10:

Click SAVE once done.

Step 11:

Click Send.
 

Setting up a Conference with RingCentral for Google

Step 1:

Log into your Gmail account.

Step 2:

Click the Conference icon.

Take note of the Dial-In Number, Host Code and the Participant Code.

Step 4:

In case you have participant/s abroad, tick the I have international participants option.

Step 5:

Locate and tick the box that corresponds to the country where your international participants are located.

Step 6:

Click Invite with Google Calendar.

Step 7:

Review the settings and modify as needed.

Step 8:

Enter the participant/s email address.

Step 9:

Click SAVE once done.

Step 10:

Click Send.
 

Setting up a Hangout RC Meeting

Step 1:

Log into your Gmail account.

Step 2:

Click the Hangout icon.

Step 3:

Enter the email address of the people you wish to connect with.

Step 4:

Determine whether the participant needs to be 18+ years old to be able to join and then tick the appropriate option.

Step 5:

Determine whether the invite needs to be sent as a Quiet Invitation and then tick the appropriate option.

Click Invite
