Installing the RingCentral for Office 365 Chrome Extension

Step 1:

Launch Google Chrome and then navigate to the Chrome Web Store.

NOTE:  Make sure you have the latest version of Google Chrome:  Go to Settings > About Google Chrome

Step 2: 

On the search box, enter Ring Central.

Step 3:

Locate RingCentral for Office 365 and then click + ADD TO CHROME.

Step 4:

Click the Add button to confirm the installation.

Step 5:

Log into your Office 365 account on your Chrome browser.  Currently, the integration only works on Google Chrome.

NOTE:  Verify the app is installed.  Go to Office 365 on your Chrome browser.  You should see RingCentral for Office 365 on the right side of Mail, Calendar, People, and Tasks.

Step 6:

Enter your RingCentral credentials and then click Login.

Placing a Call with RingCentral for Office 365

Step 1:

Log into your Office 365 account.

Step 2:

Click the Dialer icon.

Click the User-added image icon and then click the Contact you wish to call.

NOTE: You may also enter the number of the party you wish to call manually.

Step 4:

Click the Dialer arrow icon and then select the RingCentral device you wish to call from via WebRTC .  Then, click Call.

NOTE:  Outbound calling is only available via WebRTC to a RingCentral provisioned device (either the desktop app or deskphone) available on your account.  Custom numbers cannot be used.

Step 5:

The WebRTC screen will appear. On your RingCentral device, click Answer.  You will then be connected to the number you are calling.

NOTE:  In this example, the RingCentral Desktop App was used.  You may also use a RingCentral provisioned deskphone. 

Using Click to Dial to Place an Outbound Call

You can use the click-to-dial feature to make an outbound call.  Once you are logged in, all phone numbers in your Outlook Contacts become clickable links.  

Sending a Text Message with RingCentral for Office 365

Step 1:

Log into your Office 365 account.

Step 2:

Click the Business SMS icon.

Click the User-added image icon and then click the Contact you wish to message.

NOTE: You may also enter the number of the party you wish to message manually.

Step 4:

Type your text message and then click Send.

Checking your RingCentral messages with RingCentral for Office 365

Step 1:

Log into your Office 365 account.

Step 2:

Click the Messages icon.

Select the message you wish to retrieve.

QUICK TIP: Switch between All, Voice, Fax and Text tabs to filter messages.

NOTE: Click the button to Play a voicemail message. Click the button to View a fax message.

Step 1:

Log into your Office 365 account.

Step 2:

Click the Contacts icon to display the Contacts list.

Checking the Call Log on RingCentral for Office 365

Step 1:

Log into your Office 365 account.

Step 2:

Click the Call Log icon.

Click the Missed tab to display the list of missed calls.

Setting up a RingCentral Meeting with RingCentral for Office 365

Step 1:

Log into your Office 365 account.

Step 2:

Click the Schedule RC Meeting icon.

Set the Date, Time as well as the Duration of the meeting.

Step 4:

Determine whether it will be a Recurring Meeting and then select the option as needed.

NOTE: A recurring meeting occurs at the same time and day as the meeting that has been set.
Step 5:
Determine whether there would be a need for Video collaboration and then select the appropriate option.

Step 6:

Click on User-added image  and decide whether to protect the meeting with a Password and then tick the option as needed. Set the password.

NOTE: Participants to the meeting will need to enter the password to be able to join the meeting.  You may allow participants to join the meeting before the host and then tick the option as needed.

Step 7:

Click Save in Calendar and then review the Settings.

Setting up a Conference with RingCentral for Office 365

Step 1:

Log into your Office 365 account.

Step 2:

Click the Conference icon.

Take note of the Dial-In Number, Host Code and the Participant Code.

In case you have participant/s abroad, tick the I have international participants option and tick the box that corresponds to the country where your international participants are located.

Step 5:

Click Join as Host.
