Details
When the RingCentral Meetings app does not launch while joining a meeting using Google Chrome, you might have selected Do Nothing and then selected Remember my choice for all links of this type when the app was downloaded. This behavior has been observed in Google Chrome ver. 42.x or later.

To resolve this on a PC, follow the steps below:

Step 1:

Close Google Chrome.

Step 2:

Open Windows Explorer and then go to C:\Users\[USER]\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\UserData.

Step 3: 

Open the Local State file using Notepad or any text editor.

IMPORTANT: Remember to keep a backup of the Local State file before editing.

Step 4:

Locate and delete "zoommtg" under "protocol_handler" > "excluded_schemes"

Step 5:

Save and close the file.

Step 6:

Launch the meeting again.
 

To resolve this on a Mac, follow the steps below:

 

Step 1:

Close Google Chrome.

Step 2:

From the Desktop, navigate to Go > Go to Folder...

Step 3:

Search for ~/Library.

Step 4:

Navigate to ~Library > Application Support > Google > Chrome.

Step 5:

Open the Local State file in the Mac Text Editor.

Step 6:

Locate and delete zoommtg under protocol_handler > excluded_schemes.

Step 7:

Save and close the file.

Step 8:

Launch the meeting again.
