A RingCentral Global Office Number
is required to be associated with a hard phone (IP Phone), or RingCentral Desktop app. An International Inbound Number
is an add-on service that can be dialed locally to connect to an extension in the account, and serve as a caller ID without the need to be assigned to an IP Phone or RingCentral Desktop app.
Adding a User with Phones
will enable the purchase with shared minutes. When a number is assigned to a User's hard phone and using the RingCentral Desktop app as a second device, outbound calls from the RingCentral Desktop app can only be made via RingOut for countries that require Proof of Address.
Adding a User without a phone
, will only add an International Number
to your account. The International Number assigned to the extension will not come with any shared calling minutes.
