The RingCentral Meetings for Mobile gives you the option to share content along with your screen while in an active meeting. This article demonstrates how you can share files with your colleagues using the RingCentral Meetings app on your iOS or Android device. It also shows how you can share screens and annotate during active meetings.

NOTE: While the screenshots below were taken from an iOS device, the same features are available on Android devices and the same steps apply to RingCentral Meetings for Android.

Sharing Files using RingCentral Meetings for your iOS or Android device


Step 1:

Tap Share.

Share icon

Step 2:

You will see the following Sharing options. Click any of the links below to learn more:

Share Photos: Choose a photo stored on your iOS device to display.
Share from Dropbox: Use the Dropbox application on your device to share a file from Dropbox.
Share from Box: Use the Box application on your device to share a file from Box.
Share from Google Drive: Lets you share files from your Google Drive account.
Share from One Drive: Lets you share files from your OneDrive account.
Share Web: Enables you to share a URL.
Share from Bookmark: Choose one of your bookmarks on your device to display.

      Share Photos

Tap Share Photos to access your device's albums.
Allow Meetings to access your photos.

      Share from Dropbox

Tap Share from Dropbox.

You will be taken to the screen shown in the image below.
If you do not have the app installed, tap New to Dropbox? Get the App! located at the bottom of the screen.

Otherwise, sign in to link RingCentral Meetings with Dropbox.

      Share from Box

Tap Share from Box.

You will be taken to the screen shown in the image below.
If you do not have the app installed, you will be prompted to do so.

Otherwise, sign in to link RingCentral Meetings with Box.

      Share from Google Drive

Tap Share from Google Drive.

Enter your Google username and password. You will be sent a verification code on your mobile number.
Enter your verification code. Tap Allow to load your Google Drive files and folders.

      Share from One Drive

Tap Share from One Drive.

Enter your Microsoft username and password. Tap Yes to load your One Drive files and folders.

      Share from Web

Tap Share from Web.

Enter the URL you want to share, then tap Share.

      Share from Bookmark

Tap Share from Bookmark.

The list of bookmarks will load on the page. Select the bookmark, then tap Done.
 

You have successfully shared a file using RingCentral Meetings for Mobile.
 

Sharing Screens using RingCentral Meetings for your iOS or Android device

The Host and Participants can add notes to the shared screen. Participants may also be allowed to add notes to the shared screen as well. A participant can also copy and paste from the host's screen.

NOTE: The RIngCentral Mobile app does not support multiple screen sharing.  Users can only see the most recently shared screen.


Step 1:

During an active meeting, tap the screen to open up the menu, then tap Share.

Tap the source of the file you want to make annotations on.

Step 2:

Tap the pencil icon Meetings Mobile app - Annotate icon. to start annotation.

Step 3:

You can now start annotating on the file you just shared.
Use the tools highlighted on the image below.

Step 4:

Tap the pencil icon highlighted in blue Meetings App - Stop annotation. to stop the annotation.

Step 5:

Tap Stop Share to end screen sharing.

You have successfully finished screen sharing and annotation using RingCentral Meetings for Mobile.
