When using your Plantronics Audio Device, you may encounter the issue with RingCentral Desktop App not responding to your Plantronics Audio Device button commands. A possible cause of this is not having the Plantronics Hub installed on your computer.

For Windows Users

For the RingCentral Desktop App to respond to the Plantronics button commands (such as Mute or Hangup), you must check 2 things:

1. Plantronics integration must be enabled in the RingCentral Desktop App Settings. Click on the Settings button and go to the Sound tab.  Make sure the Plantronics integration button is On.

2. Software from Plantronics, Inc. called Plantronics Hub must be installed and running.  On Windows, you can check if it is running by clicking onto your Icon Tray area and finding the Plantronics Hub icon:

Please check if it is installed by going to the Control Panel->Add/Remove Programs (Windows 7) or Control Panel->Uninstall a program (Windows 8.x and 10) application on your computer.

If you do not find the Plantronics Hub there, you must go to the Plantronics website, download and install it: https://www.plantronics.com/us/en/support/downloads-apps

For Mac Users

For the RingCentral Desktop App to respond to the Plantronics button commands (such as Mute or Hangup), you must check 2 things:

- by finding the Plantronics Hub icon in the Status menu:

If you do not see the Plantronics icon, the Plantronics Hub application may not be installed.
Please check if it is installed by going to the Finder -> Applications:

If you do not find the Plantronics Hub there, you must go to the Plantronics website, download and install it: https://www.plantronics.com/us/en/support/downloads-apps
