Supported Server Operating Systems


WINDOWS SERVER OPERATING SYSTEMS

Contact Center supports Windows Server 2012 and later. Servers are most commonly used with RingCentral Contact Center software for DB Connector for database access, API integration with ACD APIs, and automated FTP functions.
 

LINUX AND OTHER OPERATING SYSTEMS

For customers using other operating systems such as Linux or Unix for servers, we have provided recommendations for the three most common Linux operating systems.

• Red Hat Enterprise Linux - RHEL 6.5 and later
• CentOS - Version 6.5 and later
• SUSE Linux Enterprise - Version 12 and later

Linux has a wide variety of versions. The general guideline is to make sure that any version of operating system used can support TLS 1.1 and 1.2 encryption protocols. Deprecated operating systems will not be able to support the TLS 1.1 and 1.2 encryption standards.
