Follow the steps below to learn how to transfer calls directly to voicemail via:


Desk phones Desktop app

Transferring a Call via Desk phones

Polycom Soundpoint IP320, IP321, IP330, IP331, and IP335 phones

Step 1:

During an active call, press Trans soft key.

Press the Blind soft key.

Step 3: 

Press *0 (asterisk, and then zero).

Step 4:

Enter the extension number of the voicemail where you want to transfer the call. The caller is then sent to the voicemail of the extension number you entered.

Caller ID Behavior:  Blind transfers only show the originating Caller ID.
 

Cisco phones

Step 1:

During the call, press the “BlindXfer” soft key. 

NOTE:  It may also be labeled as “bxfer” depending on the specific set type.

Step 2:

Press *0.

Step 3:

Enter the extension number of the voicemail that the caller is to be sent to.

NOTE:  This can also be your own extension number.

Step 4:

Press the “Dial” soft key. The caller is then sent to the voicemail of the extension number you entered.

Caller ID Behavior:  Blind transfers only show the originating Caller ID.

Transferring a Call Using the RingCentral Desktop app

To transfer a call to another number or extension, click Transfer, then enter the Extension number of another User in your account, or Phone number of the person where you wish to transfer the call. You can also click the Plus User-added image sign to select from your list of contacts.

NOTE: Call Transfers will swap the Initial Caller ID with the transferring party's Caller ID

NOTE: When you click Transfer, your call will be placed on hold after you dial the receiving party's number or extension.

On the Transfer To window, click Send to Voicemail.
