RingCentral desktop app Non-Admin Install (for Windows)
RingCentral desktop app allows you to install the desktop app on a Windows PC even without admin privileges. This feature empowers the user with no admin rights to proceed with installing the desktop app with limited features. This solves the issue of Windows users being unable to proceed with using the desktop app because of the admin privileges required. After the upgrade to 9.0 version, all customers will automatically get the non-admin install functionality. It's not controlled by admin web portal settings.
RingCentral desktop app Enterprise Distribution
RingCentral desktop app Enterprise Distribution allows you to opt-out from regular desktop updates for your desktop app users. This feature allows you to seamlessly continue your desktop app usage even if you cannot update your desktop app immediately. This feature is disabled by default, you will need to go through RingCentral Support to have it enabled. Contact Support if you want to enable Enterprise Distribution
The desktop app will still update when mandatory updates are required even if you have Enterprise Distribution enabled.
