SummaryThe Contact Directory feature allows you to manually program non-RingCentral contacts into the phone. This article contains steps for manually adding contacts into the following phone's local Contact Directory: Polycom SoundPoint IP 321, 331, 335, 450, 550, 560, 650, 670, and all Polycom VVX Series phones.

NOTE: Contacts added to the phone's Contact Directory are stored locally and does not sync with the RingCentral cloud.

Polycom VVX Series phones
SoundPoint IP 321 / 331 / 335
SoundPoint IP 450
SoundPoint IP 550 / 560 / 650 / 670

 

Polycom VVX Series phones
 

1. Press the Home button 
2. Select Directories 
3. Select Contact Directory 
4. Select Add
5. Enter the first name, last name and contact number of the contact from the keypad
6. Select Save

 

SoundPoint IP 321 / 331 / 335


1. Press the Dir softkey
2. Select Contact Directory
3. The screen displays <New Entry>. Press Select
4. Press Select again
5. Enter the first name of the contact from the dial pad
6. Select OK
7. Press the Down arrow key to display the next field
8. Repeat steps 3 to 7 to enter the contact's last name
9. Repeat steps 3 to 7 to enter a contact number
10. Press the Left arrow key to end the contact’s data entry
11. Press the Yes soft key to accept changes

 

SoundPoint IP 450


1. Press Menu
2. Select Features
3. Select Contact Directory
4. Press the More soft key
5. Press the Add soft key
6. Enter the first name, last name and contact number of the contact from the keypad
7. Press the Save soft key

 

SoundPoint IP 550 / 560 / 650 / 670


1. Press Directories
2. Select Contact Directory
3. Press the More soft key
4. Press the Add soft key
5. Enter the first name, last name and contact number of the contact from the keypad
6. Press the Save soft key to accept the changes
7. Press Directories to return to the idle screen
