A Digital Line allows a user to receive incoming and make outbound calls. There are times when a Digital Line needs to be assigned to a different extension.

Assign a Digital Line to a Different Extension
 

1. Log in to your RingCentral account.

2. Go to Phone System Phones & Devices > User Phones. Select the Digital Line you want to re-assign.

3. Click Edit User.

Click edit user

4. Select the extension you need the Digital Line to be assigned to. Click Save.

NOTE: 

For RingCentral Desktop App, you need to sign out and sign back in.
• For RingCentral Provided IP phones, the phones should reboot by itself
• For Non - RingCentral IP phones, you need to manually reboot the phones
