There are two ways in configuring the Cisco 525g / 525g2 wireless profile. This article will guide customers in setting up the phone's wireless profile on the phone's user interface.

NOTE: The phone needs to be connected to the router directly via the Ethernet cable. This will allow you to access the phone's user interface on your computer through the phone's IP Address. 

Getting the Phone's IP Address
To Enable Wireless on the phone's user interface, please follow the steps below: 
 
Step 1: 
Login to the User Interface (enter the phone's IP Address in the browser's Address Bar).

Step 2:
Click Admin Login and Advanced.

Step 3:
Click the Systems tab.
 
Step 4:
Under Wi-Fi Settings, in the "SPA525-wifi-on" field, choose yes.
 
Step 5:
Click Submit All Changes.
 
Adding an available network to a wireless profile
 
 
Step 1:
Login to the User Interface (enter the phone's IP Address in the browser's Address Bar).

Step 2:
In the Wi-Fi tab, make sure that the Wi-Fi Profile is selected in the Wi-Fi Device menu.

Step 3: 
Click Site Survey.

Step 4: 
Click the icon in the "Add row" section for the SSID (Network's Name) of the wireless network to be included in the profile list.

Step 5:
Complete the profile by entering the Name, SSID, and security information.

Step 6:
Click Submit All Changes.  The phone should restart after saving the changes.
 
NOTE:  You can create up to three wireless profiles.
 
Adding a wireless profile manually
 
Step 1:
Login to the User Interface (enter the phone's IP Address in the browser's Address Bar).

Step 2:
In the Wi-Fi tab, make sure that the Wi-Fi Profile is selected in the Wi-Fi Device menu.

Step 3:
Click Add New Wi-Fi Profile.

Step 4:
Complete the profile by entering the Name, SSID, and security information

Step 5:
Click Submit All Changes.

The phone should restart after saving the changes.
 
NOTE:  You can create up to three wireless profiles.
 
IMPORTANT:  The phone's wireless capability is disabled when connected using the Ethernet cable.  To connect the phone wirelessly, unplug the Ethernet cable from the phone.
