Logging in to your RingCentral Phone

SummaryHow do I log in to RingCentral Phone?

The RingCentral Phone can be used to change your extension settings, making and receiving calls, and many more. Upon launching the RingCentral Phone, you will see a Welcome screen. Once the RingCental Phone has finished loading, click on the Sign In button at the bottom of the window to proceed.

On the next screen, you will be provided with multiple methods for signing into your RingCentral online account. 

Logging in using your RingCentral Phone Number
Logging in using Email Address for your RingCentral online account
Logging in using Google
Logging in using Single Sign On (SSO)

NOTE: Your sign in method will depend on your Administrator's account settings. You should have received your sign in credentials when you set up your user account. If you would like to log in to your RingCentral Phone with your Email or Google credentials, you must enable this feature first. See RingCentral Login Integrations to learn more about it.  
 

Logging in using your RingCentral Phone Number


Step 1:

Click Phone if option is set to Email.

Step 2:

Enter your credentials in the following fields as necessary.

 desktop app login1. Phone Number: Enter your RingCentral Direct Phone Number and Password or your RingCentral Main Company Number. It is recommended to sign in with your direct number, if you have one assigned to you.  

NOTE: Make sure that the location icon is set to the country where your account is located.
2. Extension:  Use this field if you are signing in with the main company phone number and you do not have a direct phone number assigned to you. Leave this field blank if you are signing in with your direct phone number.   

NOTE: It is possible to sign in with the main number and extension, even if you have a direct number, but using your direct number is preferable. 
3. Password:  This field is case sensitive.
4. Save Password:  This checkbox allows you to save your password for the next time you launch the app.  

NOTE:  Signing out of the app will remove the saved password.  You will need to re-enter it the next time you launch the app.  
5. Click Sign In.


Logging in using Email Address for your RingCentral online account

NOTE: If you would like to log in to your RingCentral Phone with your Email, you must enable this feature first. See RingCentral Login Integrations to learn more about it.  

Step 1:

Click Email.

Step 2:

Enter your credentials in the following fields as necessary.

 login email1. Email: Enter the Email Address associated with your RingCentral online account.
2. Password:  This field is case sensitive.
3. Save Password:  This checkbox allows you to save your password for the next time you launch the app.  

NOTE:  Signing out of the app will remove the saved password.  You will need to re-enter it the next time you launch the app.  
4. Click Sign In.
 

Logging in using Google

NOTE: If you would like to log in to your RingCentral Phone with your Google credentials, you must enable this feature first. See RingCentral Login Integrations to learn more about it.  


Step 1:

Click Google.

Step 2:

Enter the Google Email address associated with your RingCentral online account, and then click Next.

NOTE: This may not be a Gmail address. Check with your Account Administrator to learn more


Step 3:

Enter the password associated with your Google account and click Next.

NOTE: This field is case sensitive.

Step 3: 

If you have two-step Verification enabled, you will be prompted to complete this verification step based on your Google account settings.  

NOTE: Signing out of the app will remove the saved password. You will need to re-enter it the next time you launch the app.  
 

Log in to the RingCentral Phone using Single Sign-On

Select this option ONLY if your company uses Single Sign-On (SSO) to access RingCentral. SSO can only be enabled by your company Administrator. If you have questions, contact your company Administrator. If you are an Administrator and want to know more information about SSO, see Single Sign-On Overview.


Step 1: 

Click Single Sign On.

Step 2: 

Enter your Email Address associated with SSO and click Submit.

NOTE: You can also check Remember email.

Step 3: 

Enter your Username and Password, and then click Sign In

NOTE: You can also check Remember me to have your Username and Password saved.

Logging out of the RingCentral Phone

Follow the steps below to completely sign out.

Step 1: 

Click Settings.

Click Logout.

Step 3:

Click Log out once more to confirm or Cancel to resume.

NOTE: Signing out of the app will not remember the saved password. You will need to sign in again the next time you launch the app.
