For Android devices: How to send debug logs | RingCentral Phone App for Mobile Android

IMPORTANT: For you to be able to send an email, an email account must be properly configured on the phone's email client. Customer Support will provide an email address where you can send the logs.

 

How to send debug logs through the RingCentral Phone App for Mobile

  1. 1. Log in to your RingCentral Mobile App.
  2. 2. Open the Keypad.
  3. 3.Type *33284564# (*DEBUGLOG#) then tap the Call button.
  4. 4. The list of log files will appear. Tap on the log file that matches the date/time information when you experienced the issue. Tap Send via Email.
  5. 5. Send the Email to rcmobilefeedback@ringcentral.com and/ or the email provided by the the support agent.

 

How to send RingCentral Phone App for Mobile debug logs through iTunes

If you are unable to log in or encounter an error when sending the crash log on your mobile app, follow the steps below to extract the crash log by syncing your iOS device with iTunes:

  1. 1. Sync the device via iTunes.
  2. 2. Open Finder.
  3. 3. Click on the 'Go' menu at the top of your screen, and select 'Go to Folder'.
  4. 4. Type (or paste): ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/MobileDevice/ 
  5. 5. Open the folder with the same 'name' as your device. (Note: your device name appears in iTunes on the left side, under 'Devices'). 
  6. 6. Try to find logs/crash reports by app name and/or date.
  7. 7. Copy the files and send the Email to rcmobilefeedback@ringcentral.com and/ or the email provided by the the support agent.
