RingCentral Phone for Desktop - Transferring Calls with the Switchboard Support


1. Incoming Call is received and additional call information is included. During the active call, click Transfer to transfer the call.

2. On the "Transfer to" window, Click the button to open contacts available for transfer.

3. Search and filter options enable you to view contacts from different sites or filter the full list of sites and drill down to target person. You may also select from the Recents section for transfer which lists the top 10 recent numbers used for transfer. Select the contact you want to transfer the call to.

4. On the "Transfer to" window, you may select Warm, Blind, or Transfer to Voicemail.

• You can use this option for transferring calls to a phone number or extension.

• When you click Warm Transfer, you will have the chance to talk to the receiving party. When you are ready to pass the call to the receiving party, you need to click Complete Transfer.

• You can use this option for transferring calls to a phone number or extension. 

• When you click Blind Transfer, you will not have the chance to talk to the receiving party. The original call will remain on hold until the receiving party answers, or until the call goes to the receiving party's voicemail.

• You can use this option to transfer a call directly to the voicemail of another extension in your RingCentral account. 

• When you click To Voicemail, the original call will immediately hear the receiving extension's voicemail greeting, and they can leave a message after the beep.
